What is the SE Scope and Sequence, and how do I use it?

TouchMath Scope & Sequence is designed to clearly outline the scaffolding of the content in TouchMath Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Upper Grades Standards Edition units.


Step-by-Step Guidance

  • Navigate to your MyTouchMath Dashboard.
  • Locate the Resources Tile and click the down arrow to open the menu of resources

Select SE Scope and Sequence

  • Locate the resource in the dropdown menu
  • Click to download the guide

Reading the Scope & Sequence

The Scope & Sequence is organized by Instructional Unit and Module. The following information for each module of instruction is included:

  • Classification - Content domain, conceptual development, procedural fluency area of focus within the module
  • CRA (ConcreteRepresentational-Abstract) level of understanding emphasized in the module
  • UDL (Universal Design for Learning) principle emphasized in the module
  • Grade Level Pacing and Connection - grade equivalence of content and instructional approaches presented

Using the Scope and Sequence

  • Chart the course for students in general education, intervention programs, and IEPs for special education learners.
  • Identify the appropriate entry point for each student based on their Universal Screener performance

This structure of the Scope and Sequence applies to editions published in 2020 and later.
