Common Questions: Browse Curriculum by Standard
How do I change the grade level of the standards?
Standards in TouchMath are organized by grade level and are designed to build upon one another as students progress. When supporting students performing significantly below their seated grade level, we recommend finding related off-level standards to make sure instruction meets them where they are.
Use the grade levels shown on the left side of the screen to navigate across levels. Standards are correlated by grade, meaning that Kindergarten standards connect directly to instructional clusters at the Kindergarten level, and this progression continues across all grades.

Why are there multiple clusters listed for each standard?
Mathematical instruction in lower grades follows a spiral or cyclical approach, where foundational concepts are revisited and reinforced throughout the academic year and across multiple grade levels.
TouchMath is specifically designed to align with this instructional model by providing multiple exposures to essential content, creating layers of support that deepen student understanding over time.
Multiple correlations to standards are displayed to help teachers make informed instructional decisions and ensure that students
- Develop conceptual understanding
- Maintain foundational mathematical skills
How do I know which cluster to begin with?
There are many factors to consider when identifying the instruction most appropriate for your student or small group of students.
- Consider multiple data points: Refer to the students' present levels, such as from external assessments and the Targeted Lessons in Assessment Mode
- Gather additional data from the Module Pre-Test: When multiple clusters are being considered, choose the earlier one in the sequence of correlated content and begin by administering the Module Pre-Test. Data from this assessment is essential in developing your lesson plans
Why are some of the listed instructional clusters grayed out?
Teaching staff can browse the standards correlated to the curriculum to which they have subscriptions. Correlations to other grade levels can be viewed, but the direct links to instructional units, modules, and clusters are inactive.
Look at the example below
- After selecting Third Grade, the links are inactive and are grayed out

This is because this teacher only has subscriptions to the Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade Curricula:
