The Student Experience

A new student session can be started when a student:

  • Logs in with their credentials via MyTouchMath.com and enters their email and password
  • Begins a teacher-prompted session when a teacher starts a student session via the Student Platform tile

Student Landing Page

The student sees the Skill Snapshots available to them and the groups they are a part of. Students also see how many assignments are available for them to work on.

In the examples below Kaylan:

  • Has 1 Skill Snapshot
  • The Star tells Kaylan that this week's probe isn't complete yet.

  • Is a member of 2 different groups

  • Notice that the Green play button is active in Mr. Ravensburger's group. This indicates that assignments are available.

Students: Select and Work on an Assignment

From the Student Landing Page, the student selects a group and assignment to work on.

  • In the example below, the student has a few assignments available:
  • When a student has worked on an assignment, "In Progress" will appear by the green circle.
  • When a new assignment is available and a student hasn't worked on it yet, "New" appears next to the green circle.

  • The student selects an assignment by clicking the Green Arrow Icon
  • A new window will open, showing the next activity to be completed
  • Tools are available to support the student:
    • Clicking the speaker icon in the top left corner will read the question stem aloud

    • Below the green check mark, there is a pointer finger icon
    • Clicking on that icon will open a pencil tool that students use to draw/solve the problem

    • The student solves the problem and then clicks the large green check mark to check their work

    • After the student clicks on the green check mark, it becomes an arrow
    • Students click the arrow to move to the next question

Pause Feature

  • Students click the two yellow vertical lines in the top right corner to pause the activity
  • The activity can be paused for up to 5 minutes
